Katelyn was named the 2021 graduate student recipient of the American Society of Cell Biology's (ASCB) Porter Prize for Research Excellence, which recognizes individual research contributions that "provide new ideas and new avenues for exploration in cell biology," as well as the advancement of professional practices for promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. As part of this award, she will give a talk at the upcoming ASCB 2021 Annual Meeting.
