Despite the conference being canceled due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the American Society of Virology still informed Tim and Laura, our graduate students, that their excellent research abstracts were awarded a 15-minute presentation and financial support this year. Asbolutely worth celebrating in the midst of everything going on!

Xinlei was awarded a 15-minute talk covering his work on virus-host interactions in HCMV infection, while Cora, Laura, and Michelle were selected to present posters and highlight their work in a lightning-talk. Although ultimately canceled due to COVID-19, we honor their accomplishments and can't wait to see their presentations at a future…

Laura's abstract on virus-host manipulation of the nuclear lamina spurred her on to receive a travel award, poster, and lightning talk at this year's US HUPO conference in Seattle!

Elene, one of our sophomore undergrads, interviewed for and was awarded a position with the Children's National Health System in Washington, D.C. for this summer. We're sure you'll do amazing things!

Cora continues her excellent work as the co-chair for Princeton's Prison Teaching Initiative, which provides inmates with the opportunity to receive a college-level education.
